Housing Options

Experience Iowa State by living on campus as you complete your community college course work.

Choose to live in Iowa State's residence halls or upper-division housing. Our upper-division housing provides the same benefits and conveniences of traditional residence hall living with more independence and privacy for students 19 years of age or older.

Housing assignments

Housing assignments are based upon the date your completed housing contract is received, your personal preferences, and the spaces that are available at the time your assignment is made.If you would like to request a specific roommate, each of the roommates must make the request on his/her housing contract.

Iowa State University and your community college may not operate on the same academic calendar. Before you sign a housing contract at Iowa State, be sure that you are aware of when your residence hall is open. For example, most residence halls at Iowa State are closed during Iowa State's winter break, and your community college winter break may not coincide with Iowa State's.
