Current APP Students

While early advising is the key to a successful transfer, the Admissions Partnership Program offers you additional social, cultural, and academic opportunities. You may choose to begin your adventure at Iowa State while you're still at your community college in any or all of the following ways:

Memorial Union
  • Obtain a student identification card and e-mail address. To get your student identification card, you must visit 0530 Beardshear Hall on the Iowa State campus, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Sign up for your e-mail account in 195 Durham Center, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
  • Work out at Iowa State recreational facilities, be a part of an Iowa State student organization, and ride CyRide fare-free.*
  • Attend athletic and selected cultural events at discounted Iowa State student rates. APP participants should contact the appropriate ticket office to purchase event tickets.*
  • Utilize Iowa State's career related programs including career fairs and workshops.
  • Access to the University library.

*These options require that you have an Iowa State University student identification card and that you pay an optional student activity fee of $97.50/semester. Fees are subject to change. To take advantage of this option, you must first contact Tuition & Fee Assessment at 515 294-1889 or in 0460 Beardshear so that the activity fee is assessed. Once assessed, the payment can then be sent to the treasurer's office, 1220 Beardshear.
