How to Apply
Students interested in applying for APP must follow these steps:
- Students must meet with their academic adviser or counselor at their community college to discuss if APP is a good fit.
- Students must fill out an APP application and have their community college adviser/counselor fill out and sign the adviser/counselor signature box on the application.
- Students must request that an official copy of their transcript be sent to Iowa State from each college they have attended, as well as coursework taken during high school.
- Transcripts should be sent to Iowa State University, Office of Admissions, 100 Alumni Hall, Ames, IA 50011-2011.
- Iowa State University will inform the student of their APP status after all required materials have been received.
- Iowa State maintains equivalency guides for all Iowa community colleges. Transfer plans also exist for many Iowa State majors. For more information, contact the Office of Admissions at 800 262-3810.
Application Deadlines
APP applicants who provide all required program application materials and are accepted into the program will be given a specific entry term.
- Students accepted to APP prior to the end of fall semester will be considered fall entrants.
- Students accepted to APP prior to the end of spring semester will be considered spring entrants.
- Students accepted to APP prior to the end of summer semester will be considered summer entrants.
