College of Liberal Arts and Sciences: Pre-Law

As a pre-law student you may elect to major in any field. The American Bar Association states that the best preparation for law school is study in English language and literature, government, economics, history, mathematics, Latin, logic and scientific method, and philosophy. These courses will provide you with skills in critical thinking, the comprehension and expression of ideas, and an understanding of human institutions and values. You will be assigned a pre-law adviser who will make certain you are taking the courses that will support your specific career goals and inform you of current resources and services to help you be admitted to law school.
