Zoology is the part of biology which relates to the animal kingdom, including the structure, embryology, evolution, classification, habits, and distribution of all animals, both living and extinct. While Iowa State University does not offer a zoology major, students interested in studying animal life, its origins, characteristics, life processes, behavior, evolution, relationship with other organisms may consider a major in animal ecology, animal science, or biology.
