Social Sciences

Change the world. Make a difference. Words to live by as you think about a career in the social sciences. You were the kid who stuck to the rules (or made a few of your own). You were Superman, the one who defended the underdog or took up the cause of the environment. Money and how it impacts social and political interactions among people and countries may fascinate you. Your natural curiosity about people, their lives, and the way they interact not only makes you a social person but also attracts people to you. You're interested in the history and heritage of the cultures which created the society we live in today. You're charismatic, a natural leader, passionate about what your government is (or is not) doing to help the people. If you have an aptitude for interacting with others and understanding what makes society and its institutions work, consider studying social sciences at Iowa State University.
