Majors and Programs

Biological Sciences

Cloning, cryogenics, robotic implants-you read a lot of science fiction, enough that it's inspired you to do a little exploring yourself. As you learn about advances in genetics and biotechnology, you discover that science fiction is a whole lot closer to reality than you ever imagined. Maybe you see yourself following in the footsteps of medical pioneers such as Madame Curie. Perhaps you're interested in preserving natural resources, such as wetlands, or working with endangered animals as a field veterinarian. Regardless of your interests, Iowa State will provide you with a versatile background for many careers in the biological sciences.
