Application Process

VISA Questions

  1. I have a visitor's visa (B-2). Can I enroll for studies at Iowa State?
  2. What is a Social Security number and do I need to have one?
    If you are employed in the U.S., you will need a Social Security number. The Social Security system benefits retired people and those who are unable to support themselves. You will need a letter from International Education Services plus an application form to submit with your passport and I-20 to obtain a Social Security number.
