    Ames offers an unusual variety of ethnic restaurants for a town of its size, including Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Irish, Italian, Mexican, Brazilian, Indonesian, and Greek, as well as the typical American establishments.

    There are also several large grocery stores that offer an assortment of international foods and ingredients, as well as a few smaller international markets.
