Application Process

Entrance Exams

  1. Is the TOEFL required of nonnative English speakers who are transferring from U.S. colleges?
  2. Is the TOEFL required for undergraduates who have earned U.S. bachelor's or higher degrees?
  3. Are there some countries from which students are not expected to take the TOEFL?
  4. For how long is a TOEFL score valid?
  5. Is the placement test difficult?

  7. What if I don't meet the English proficiency requirement?
  8. Are international students required to take the SAT or ACT?
    No; however scores from these tests can be used to satisfy the English proficiency requirement. An SAT I Critical Reading sub-score of 420 or an ACT English sub-score of 16 will exempt you from the TOEFL examination.
